People are often amazed how attentive and responsive children are when watching my show IN YOUR HEART LIVES A RAINBOW™.
I should say “our show” because the children are actively involved and feel that they are an integral part of the show…. and they are!
Right from the beginning I let them know that they’re going to be my “special helpers”.
And after being a children’s entertainer for more than 20 years, I know that:
Children love to help.
They love to feel special.
They love to be included.
The children know that they are going to be more than an audience.
They are being taken on a journey with The Lady of the Rainbow™.
My message is that “In Your Heart Lives a Rainbow and it’s up to each one of us to let it shine as bright as we can!”
A fantasy world is created where they go on an adventure with the Lady of the Rainbow and children from around the world. It’s an enchanting, exciting, magical experience and at the same time all the positive concepts in the songs and unfolding story are very real and attainable.
BE KIND, CARE, GIVE, SHARE, RESPECT, ENJOY, APPRECIATE
I call these qualities THE COLORS OF LOVE
The whole premise of the show is that each moment is a chance to bring them out in our lives, to brighten the world like a beautiful RAINBOW and to be the BEST we can be!
What keeps the children so engaged? Is it the movement and dancing, the musical instruments they play, the colorful props they use, or the dazzling lights?
The physical activity, the surprises and dimension make the show dynamic and exciting.
But what really holds the children’s attention is the personal connection that develops between themselves and the Lady of the Rainbow and each other.
They respond to the positive, unifying experience!
They feel connected
uplifted
and
nurtured
Children have a great need to feel connected, uplifted and nurtured, especially in a world that is becoming more and more complex, more and more competitive…
Where children are being over stimulated,
depersonalized by a cyberworld,
desensitized by negativity in the media,
and where bullying and lack of respect are so prevalent.
In over 3,000 shows that I’ve performed for parties, schools, camps, libraries, girl scouts, charity functions… whether it’s been a small or large event –
There’s one thing that I’m consistently aware of at every show.
How much I enjoy the experience! I truly love connecting with the children and especially creating a beautiful, joyous and meaningful event for them. Honestly, when the show is over I feel like I’m just scratching the surface of what I want to give.
I see how receptive the children are to the positive, uplifting concepts and experience that IN YOUR HEART LIVES A RAINBOW offers.
I would love to offer more.
My goal is to reach as many children, families, and educators as possible, to be a nurturing force that BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN CHILDREN
and help achieve the LOVE, RESPECT, and UNITY so needed in this world.

We had the Lady of the Rainbow come to perform for a Daisy troop and also invited our local Brownie troop. The girls absolutely loved it. My co-leader and I were very impressed at how the girls got involved in the show. They learned how to be the best that they could be and that the simple act of kindness could make someones day shine. The girls loved all the props and lights and music. Some of the girls were happy to hear that the Lady of the Rainbow would do birthday parties, first communion celebrations, etc.. I would definately reccommend this show for young girls and even boys of that age would enjoy it. I have no problem reccommending this show to anyone!

Karen came to our school last year and we did not hesitate to invite her back this year. All of the children at each performance (both last year and this year) absolutely loved her and still talk about her to this day. She did such a fantastic job getting the children involved and engaged in all of the different movements, songs, and stories. They loved all of the props she had which really brought the stories to life. She has such a passion for making children happy and such a natural way of always making that happen. We all love her and can’t wait to see what she will bring back here next time!

As the educational director of my school, Once Upon A Time, our goal is to make sure that my children have fun, learn, and grow from each performance that we share with them. That is why I continue to welcome The Lady of the Rainbow back to my school. The children always seem to respond so well to her and her show. They really get the message and try to spread the kindness and love everyday. After seeing and really being a part of the show, they had reminded each other in class that in your heart lives a rainbow.
She recently came back to perform again and added a bit about the life cycle of a butterfly, since they had just seen the whole transformation in the classroom. Well, this was yet another piece of her production that the children were able to relate to. They used props and became a butterfly while they danced around the room. Her message is always so clear and down to their level so they can respond well to it. I would recommend her without hesitation.

I really appreciate your heartfelt comments and that you’ve invited me to do my show IN YOUR HEART LIVES A RAINBOW several times at your wonderful school! I’ve noticed the warm, nurturing environment that pervades Once Upon a Time whenever I’ve been there. You, Carmelina, Carissa, your co-director and your staff are very kind, loving people and are genuinely interested in providing the best care and education for the children who are very lucky to attend your school. It’s been a pleasure to share my stories and songs, to give the children an enchanting experience, and to bring out the best in them.
